In this series of paintings I explore the marine landscape, combining the basic spaces (sky, sea and land) through composition, light and colour. The three states of matter are represented with techniques associated with each element, seeking a coherent concept and form.
The sky, which is perceived as the gaseous element, is captured through ethereal techniques that play with gradients, transparency and the subtlety of tones. The sea, on the other hand, comes to life through fluid, dripping and splashing movements, reflecting the changing character of the liquid. Finally, the land, solid and stable, is built with dense textures and deep colours, contrasting with the instability of the other two elements and providing a visual anchor point in each composition.
In these landscapes the sea becomes a mirror of the human psyche, reflecting moods such as calm, intensity, tension… The weather depicted is not just a physical phenomenon, but a reflection on the interaction between the elements of nature and their ability to transmit human emotions.
