Paintings and risographs exhibition at Narata
Come to the OPENING next Thursday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Narata, Indautxu Kalea, 4 – Bilbao.
“Lurra”
I have always found in nature an endless source of inspiration, mainly in landscapes. My paintings have always been tinged with a certain abstraction, without being able to avoid it, I end up immersing myself in the color and material expressiveness of each project and I move away from the form. I know how I start but I don’t know where I will end up. The details blur, until the physical world disappears in favor of a more emotional and intangible one. Each brushstroke is an act of translation, a transformation of the figurative essence towards the realm of the blurred. In this way, my work ends up being a constant dialogue between what is seen and what is suggested, based on the emotional content that lives behind each stroke.
“Lurra” is a collection that reveals the micro-landscapes of our environment. Exploring the depths of our land, through the petrography of different places in Euskadi, I try to capture this existing reality and exalt the beauty that resides in the most modest appearances, such as the rocks have under their austere presence. The exhibition includes canvases painted in mixed technique and intervened risographs on paper.
As a whole, “Lurra” invites us to contemplate the microcosm that surrounds us and to reflect on universal harmony, on the immensely large and the immensely small, on the ephemeral and the eternal.
The exhibition will be available from November 28 to December 28 in Narata, Bilbao.
