“Lurra” Exhibition at Moiqut – Fair Saturday Bilbao 2025
Discover the "Lurra" collection at Moiqut as part of Fair Saturday Bilbao, a festival that unites art and solidarity. The exhibition features canvases and risographs inspired by the petroglyphs and micro-landscapes of the Basque Country. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday, November 29th at 7:00 pm at Ercilla 5 (Bilbao).
Fair Saturday: culture with impact
Fair Saturday Bilbao is a cultural festival that transforms the city into a grand stage where art and solidarity merge in a single day. Originating in Bilbao and now present in other cities, it maintains its most significant essence here: promoting culture as a social force.
Artists and collectives from diverse disciplines present their work while collaborating with social projects that receive a portion of the proceeds, transforming each activity into a real act of support. The public participates not only as spectators but also as part of a network that uses creativity to strengthen community life.
A festival with social purpose
The festival’s core focus is its commitment to local causes. Each cultural offering is linked to a social organization, generating a direct impact and giving visibility to organizations working for the well-being of the community. This union between art and solidarity lends meaning and coherence to the entire program.
Moiqut, another year of commitment
Moiqut is much more than a fashion boutique: it’s a vibrant space where clothing coexists with art, and where every visit becomes a cultural experience. Its philosophy stems from the idea that dressing is also a form of creative expression, so it selects unique, conscious, and high-quality garments, always within an environment that exudes inspiration.
The project, led by Verónica, combines fashion, art, and music in one place, transforming the store into a small creative home where something is always happening: exhibitions, artistic interventions, collaborations with female designers, and proposals that invite you to see fashion from a broader perspective. The carefully curated aesthetic of the space and the friendly service complete the warm atmosphere, where the customer not only buys but also discovers.
This 2025 marks the eighth edition of Fair Saturday in which they participate, once again providing a wonderful synergy between art, creativity, fashion, music, and a great atmosphere.
Painting Exhibition “Lurra”
In this setting, I present my collection “Lurra,” composed of mixed-media canvases and manipulated risograph prints. You will be able to see the new additions from 2025 and some pieces from last year.
Exploring the heart of our land through the interpretation of petroglyphs, “Lurra” brings us closer to the diverse micro-landscapes of the Basque Country through visual art. Through these works, the artist seeks to capture these micro-worlds, imperceptible to the naked eye, exalting the immense beauty that resides in the most modest appearances. The ground-level sample is transferred to the exhibition wall, transforming an element we don’t usually notice, something we walk on without realizing it, into an object worthy of observation.
The exhibition will be on display at Moiqut until March 31, 2026.
The event
But I won’t be alone. I’ll be joined by artists Amaia Santamaria, Loida Music, and Gasti Seguí, who will delight us with their voices, guitars, and piano throughout the opening. All of this will be accompanied by a fine wine from Bodegas Cune to enhance the afternoon.
And of course, CIC bioGUNE, a member of the BRTA alliance, will be there. It’s an internationally renowned research center in Life Sciences, located in the Bizkaia Technology Park. Its work focuses on advancing Precision Medicine, studying the molecular mechanisms of various diseases, including rare diseases. With two main research programs and more than 200 professionals involved, it develops over 120 projects a year and has received accolades such as the ERC awards, the Severo Ochoa Seal, and distinctions from the AECC for its work in cancer research.
Rare diseases are uncommon conditions that affect a small number of people, but they often have a significant impact on their quality of life. They are frequently difficult to diagnose and treat, making scientific research essential to understanding their causes and developing more effective therapies.
With all this in mind…it’s impossible not to come, right? ;) See you this coming Saturday, November 29th, at Moiqut (Ercilla 5, Bilbao) at 7:00 PM. Don’t be late!
